Adebisi Joins Lost

Excitng news! Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje who played the legendary Simon Adebisi on Oz is going to join the cast of Lost this fall. His character is described as "a mysterious character who wants something". Hmmm I suspect this time the something won't involve Kenny Wangler's ass. My favorite Adebisi line: "I'm in a mood all right. I'm in a mood to kill." Anyway this should be fun.

Gotta Brand New Bag

I don't know why but sometime last week I decided that the smallish green Trager shoulder bag I've had since my senior year of college just wasn't cutting it anymore. Probably the first sign was how rancid it smelled at the movies way back on my birthday.

But a combination of REI gift certificates I received as a perk with my bus pass and some American Express gift cheques I got for opening a new bank account allowed me to buy this bag essentially for free. It's pretty swank. Even though I don't have a laptop, the laptop slot in the bag is great for magazine, comic books, papers. The best part about the bag is its damn comfy! No more slim strap cutting into my shoulder.

Twin Falls, Anger-ho

So SportCenter is doing this 50 States/50 Days thing and today the state is Idaho. At one point anchor Steve Berthiaume is rattling off a bunch of songs that mention Idaho: "My Own Private Idaho" by the B-52's, "Twin Falls, Idaho" by the Ben Folds Five... Wha? No love for Built To Spill? That BFF cover sucks. Fuck you Steve Berthiaume! "Say hello to my little friend"...my foot up your ass!

Andy Milonakis Shocker

So The Andy Milonakis Show is really funny and kind of in the tradition of Tom Green and Jackass, but with an added Pee Wee Herman twist. Its got a big goofy kid saying ridiculous things to strangers on the street. You know eventually he'll be come to well known for the jokes to work. But the shocking thing that he's actually like older than me According to this article* from over 2 years ago, he's like 29 years old now! His apperance is the result of some sort of growth disorder, which explains why he seemed way to clever for a 14 year old and why he looks the same as he did when he appeared on Jimmy Kimmel a few years ago asking rude questions to strangers. Even though I feel a bit coned the show is still funny. Not Wonder Showzen funny but still funny.

Oh and Being Bobby Brown? Brilliant every thing that Britney show was supposed to be.

*despite the goofy site hosting it this is a real New York Observer article.

Funniest Real Name Ever?

This guy has to have the most awesome name ever. Funniest otherwise harmless piece of journalism I've read in a while too. What a headline!

This guy easily surpasses this woman, and to be fair her name is only funny is you mispronounce it and take into account her position as a collegiate women's basketball coach.
