CD Revue: A.C. Newman - The Slow Wonder

Apparently the name Carl Newman isn't indie rock enough, maybe sounds to much like a janitor or something. The first solo album from the front man of the New Pornographers and Zumpano is a real treat. It's both poppy and rocking. "The Miracle Drug" is a pop gem and the cello on "The Town Halo" really rocks. Yes, I said the cello rocks. A great first solo effort for Carl, err, I mean A.C.
